The Stud is the culmination of one familys' passion for Orpingtons.
The current custodian is a Committee Member of The Rare & New Breeds Poultry Society Inc,
a retired Committee Member of The Orpington Club of Australia
a Member of Canberra & Queanbeyan Poultry Club and a Life Member of Associated Bird Keepers of Australia Inc.
As such it is a pleasurable duty to promote the Studs chosen breeds, also encouraging the ownership of pure bred poultry,
and to uphold a high standard.
the Studs acknowledged achievements in Orpingtons in Australia are the development of the first and original
Australian lines of = Blue Cuckoo (large), Buff Cuckoo (both sizes, known as Lemon in the UK),
Chocolate Cuckoo (large) and Lavender Cuckoo (both sizes)
as well as the Gold, Silver, Chocolate and Blue Crele/Partridge (large), Lavender (both sizes), and the Gold Barred Buff
also acknowledged for the first and original Australian lines of Cuckoo in Silkie and Phoenix
# the Studs Blue, Splash and some Black and some Cuckoo are NOT the family's original lines =
the familys original lines are bred and kept seperate
note = in December of 2015 the Stud's line of large Chocolate was started to be released
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Stud has Orpingtons that are descendants of birds direct from England, and maintains a few lines that are pure.
And has also formed new lines in select colours by mixing some of the best quality lines in Australia.
If anyone wants eggs from the Breeding Pens of the Stud they can be obtained (only when on offer)
not all colours offered each year
# We do not export birds or eggs anymore = overseas readers would need to contact Breeders in their own country for stock.
bird and egg availability information (within Australia) = For Sale pages
# the site is updated semi-regularly
